December 2024
New
- Policy builder - Scenarios expansion for Zendesk: If you have a Zendesk connection you can now use the target type File type within policy builder scenarios. Supported file types include: BMP, CSV, DOC/DOCX, HAR, HEIC, HTML, JPG/JPEG, JSON, PDF, PNG, PPT/PPTX, TSV, TXT, XML, and XLS/XSLX.
- Alerts - Jira alerts for Box and Microsoft OneDrive: You can now receive Jira alerts for your Box and Microsoft OneDrive connections.
Improved
- Data log: The Data log page, which enables you to view the stream of all activity from your connected platforms, is updated to align with the Events page UI. At the top of the page is a tile for each connected platform. The tile contains the total platform events processed by Polymer for the connection and the timestamp of the last activity recorded. You can access the Data log using the pop-up menu at the bottom of the Hub sidebar.
- Breadcrumb navigation: All breadcrumbs across the Hub now include origin and path links when applicable.
- Entity - Authorization Code: The Authorization Code entity was refined to improve detection in various file types.
- Entity - AWS Access Key: The AWS Access Key entity was refined to improve detection and reduce false positives.
November 2024
New
- Events - Archive: You can now remove or dismiss policy events from your main Events page to an Archive page using the Archive functionality. Archived events do not factor into your risk scores, reports, or entity counts within files. This feature is great to take advantage of while refining your policies to ensure you detect the entities and scenarios that matter most to your organization and reduce noise. If you accidentally archive an event, you can easily unarchive it from within the Archive page which is nested under Events in the lefthand navigation. Once unarchived, the event will once again factor into your risk score, reports, and entity counts within files.
- Policy builder - Grant access remediation for Box & Google Drive: Previously, access-related remediation options for file storage platforms included downgrading and removing access to files. However, many of you requested an automated way to share files that match your policy with a specific user group so the group can review the file. Now, that's possible with the latest remediation mode for Box and Google Drive. In your policy scenario, simply select the mode Remediate - Grant access and select the user group you'd like to automatically share the file with when a policy event is triggered.
October 2024
New
- Jira integration: Polymer can now monitor and protect your sensitive data in Jira. To add a Jira connection to your Hub select +Request connection next to Jira on the Connections page or reach out to your customer success manager.
- Organization settings - Activity log API: You can now access the Activity log in your Organization settings via API. For more information, reach out to your customer success manager.
- Organization settings - Data management controls: If you do not want Polymer to store and display the obfuscated entities detected in policy events, you can now set Polymer to remove them in your Organization settings. Please note: removing redacted entity values deletes existing entity values and prevents new entity values from being saved.
- Policy builder - Scenario expansion for Box, Google Drive & Gmail: If you have a Box, Google Drive, or Gmail connection you can now use the target type Label within policy builder scenarios. This will enable you to create scenarios and take remediation action based on file or email labels.
- Files - File activity: If you have a Box, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive connection you can now see all activity Polymer has tracked for scanned files in the File details sidebar and page.
Improved
- Custom entity - Lookup: Save time and create multiple plain text entities at once using a static or dynamic lookup file. When you create a lookup entity, all you need to do is upload or link to a CSV file that contains one plain text match per row for Polymer to detect.
- Nudges - Email customization: You can now customize the email nudges sent to members of your organization who violate data security policies. Update the subject line and add tokens so recipients have all the information they need to better adhere to organizational policies.
- Groups - Custom & Inherited: Take better control of your groups in Polymer. Create custom groups that include individual users of your choosing and see groups inherited from Google or Okta. Utilize these groups in your policies and add entity access permissions to control what redacted content group members can view in relevant platforms.
