Zapier webhooks

Send custom  event notification via Gmail

Polymer enables you to customize where and how you receive event notifications via webhooks. Learn how to use a Zapier webhook to send custom event notification emails to your data security team.

1. Sign in to your Zapier account.
2. Select + Create Zap in the left-hand menu.
3. In 1. Trigger, select Webhooks by Zapier.
4. In the Choose app & event section, select Catch Hook in the Event dropdown.
5. Select Continue.
6. In the Set up trigger section, leave the text field blank and select Continue.
7. In the Test trigger section, copy the webhook URL and leave the application tab or window open.
8. In a new tab or window, sign in to your Polymer account.
9. Select Connections in the left-hand menu.
10. Under Integrated Connections, find the integration for which you want to establish a webhook and select Settings to the right of its name.
11. Select Monitoring in the nested left-hand menu.
12. Paste the Zapier webhook URL in the blank field next to Webhook.
13. Select Send Test Notification.
14. Return to your open Zapier tab or window and select Test trigger.
15. If the test is successful, you should receive a confirmation message. Select Continue.
    Note: It may take a few minutes for Zapier to receive Polymer’s test notification. If your test does not work, wait and select Test trigger again after a few minutes.
16. In 2. Action, select Gmail.
17. In the Choose app & event section, select Send Email from the Event dropdown.
18. Select Continue.
19. In Choose account, select a connected Gmail account from the Gmail account dropdown.
20. Select Continue.
21. In the Set up action section, enter information into the To, Cc, Bcc, From, From Name, and Reply To fields as desired for your policy violation notification emails.
22. In the Set up action section, enter an email subject line in the Subject field. You can insert custom Polymer data as desired for your policy violation notification emails.

23. In the Set up action section, enter email text in the Body field. You can insert custom Polymer data as desired for your policy violation notification emails. 
    Note: This step is required.
24. In the Set up action section, enter information into the Signature, Label/Mailbox, and Attachments fields as desired for your policy violation notification emails.
25. Select Continue.
26. In the Test action section, select Test action. Leave the application tab or window open. 
27. In a new tab or window, sign in to the Gmail account to which you sent the policy violation notification.
28. Locate the test email you sent and review the email subject line and contents.
29. Return to your open Zapier tab or window, and repeat steps 21-27 as needed to further update and customize your policy violation notification emails.
30. When the policy violation notification email is triggering as desired, in the Test action section select Publish Zap.
